Marcia Haynes

Hi to everyone from the late arrival. My name is Marcia and I am the guidance counselor at South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind. I work with kids k-12 in the deaf and multi-handicapped schools. I scored highest on section 8 (Intrapersonal strength). I guess this describes me because I constantly deal with the underdogs and try to make sure that they are getting a "fair deal". I probably get more emotionally involved with the students than I should and fairness is very important to me. Working with the deaf, I am constantly trying to find new ways to visually explain concepts and allow students to express things that they cannot verbalize. I hope to learn more/different/interesting ways for the students that I work with to express themselves.
